catching up series: 2015 baby photo dump

Here's the thing: 2015 was the year that my cousin's family moved out of our compound. In other words, it was the year that Faye and I separated homes. If you've been following this blog, you'd know just how close I am to my niece. Since I resigned, she's been my constant companion. I even once said that she's my only social life because there was a time that I refused to go out with friends. There was a point that I was feeling all depressed and I can confidently say that my niece was the one who saved my sanity. There are times before that I refused to go out of my room, or worse get out of my bed, and she's the only one who would knock and can make me open the door. It was that bad at some point.

I don't mean to ruin this post with drama but since we'll be talking about my nieces here, I thought I would emphasize just how precious they are to me. Late 2013, Avie came -- Faye's sister. And in 2014, we had Mithy -- my brother's daughter. But as I said, Faye and Avie moved out last year. It could have been devastating if we do not have Mithy. You get my point? Mithy filled the void. Yes, she was unexpected {'cause her parents are unwed} but she came with a purpose. She's indeed a blessing to our family. And although two families had to go through trouble because of her, I would dare say that now, both families wouldn't have it any other way. We'd choose having her over and over again.

Now enough of sappy things. Pagpasenyahan nyo na ang overly sentimental na tiyahin. Hahaha! It's just that my heart is full of love lately and I have to express it. After all, blog ko naman 'to. Haha! Kidding. So anyway, most photos below are of Mithy's because as I've said, Faye and Avie no longer live with us. But just to point out, we visit them every week. Sometimes, even twice a week. You see, I'm making the most out of my remaining bum days. I'm positive I'll be going back to work soon. Very soon, hopefully.

Andami kong pasakalye, ano baaa, hahaha! ANYWAYYY, I decided to make collages of Mithy with ate Faye and ate Avie's special participations. Of course for the first few months, her routine was to eat, sleep, cry, pee and poop. Hehe! But Mithy's a chill baby. She loved to sleep in my kili-kili when she was so little. I would sing Home on the range and I'll make her hele and that's it! I actually learned how to carry a baby because of her. I waited five months to carry Faye and Avie but with Mithy, I carried her as young as one month. Minsan nga naiisip ko pwede na ko mag-asawa. Charot! Walang jowa! Hahaha!

We tried to always have something for her monthly but I kind of regret not making her every month extra special. I mean, she always had cake or ice cream or both but I have this weird feeling that we could have done more. Like when I made her balloons on her 3rd month birthday or when I made her a banner on her sixth month. Ganun sana ka-special monthly. I can only imagine if I have work and moolah! Nakoo!

Mithy's first official days out include ate Avie's birthday {few weeks old!}, Papito's birthday {at 3 months} and ate Xana's birthday at the farm {at 4 months}. And since she turned 5 months, we would frequently bring her to the mall for photo ops. I just love dressing her up especially now that she's older. I'm actually claiming that I'm her stylist and photographer while her mama is her personal assistant aka julalay. Hehehe! Just messing up with her mama.

Anyway, the first time that the three really got together since Faye and Avie moved out was during my birthday last year. We were so entertained while watching Avie and Mithy interact. They would hold each other's faces and laugh and smile at each other. We were laughing hilariously while watching them.

The last three months were my favorite from last year. For Halloween, we dressed her up as Wonder Woman, although was mistaken as Darna a couple of times. Hehe! She got to attend two trick or treats. First, at her dada's office then second, with ate Faye and ate Avie at SM Fairview. Her ates were dressed as fairies donning beautiful gowns.

November was pretty busy with ate Faye's birthday and of course, Mithy's baptism and birthday too! Wrote about them HERE and HERE. And finally for December was ate Avie's birthday and then the holiday season. Check them out HERE, HERE and HERE. I feel such a responsible blogger for completing everything. Yayyy! Come on guys, I'd love a pat on the back. Hehehe!

Wheww! That was a lot of baby photos. I honestly can't wait to share what I've collected so far from 2016. I just love, loveee, taking snaps of the little ones. What can I do, I'm a smitten aunt.

catching up series: year-end photo dump

Except it's not year-end currently. Hahaha! You see, I have this secret mission of compiling my niece's random photos twice every year. I really didn't plan this at first but after realizing I did it for 2013 {first half, second half}, I decided to do the same for 2014 {mid-year photo dump}. Life got in the way as per usual but at least here I am now cleaning up after my own mess. Hehehe!

There's not so much to post actually 'cause I was uninspired as heck during the latter part of the year. Then there's Teepee. Life only started picking up November -- the makeover, the birthdays, the new baby. And thankfully, life has been good since then.

Anyway, shall we?

JULY

A different take on invading my privacy, Faye rummaged through my old journals. She then saw a pressed flower and not surprisingly, she insisted that we look for a flower and do the same in her "journal". It became an ear ornament before the process.

Meet Beary-Apple and Owly-Faye. Hahaha! We baptized the stuffed toys I got from the Claw Crane game when we visited an arcade house one time. Yep, it was me who caught both and I think it's important to note too that I got them consecutively. The Claw Crane Gods must love me, huh?

Wala lang. We were both amazed at the humongous Avocado so we played around with it before putting it to its final rest, also known as our tummies. :P And for the record, it's my favorite fruit -- not Apple. Am I making myself clear?

AUGUST

For the love of my niece, I jumped into the loom band craze. Mommy bought her a kit and the moment I saw it, I knew it's me who doesn't have a choice but to learn. But I have to be honest, I got hooked. Pun intended.

Now the photo below perfectly depicts what it's like to have my niece and my make up at once. Lippie: Victim; Faye: Prime Suspect. She really never fails! Right now I only have three lippies and they are all buhrokeennn. Hahaha!

Avie at 8 months. I rarely get to play with her for a long time 'cause her ate Faye is always with me and I can't have them in my room both at the same time. Baka pag apat na yung kamay ko, pwede na. Hahaha! Kidding aside, it's better safe than sorry, right? I don't want the kids getting hurt under my guidance. No way, José!

Last from August! I just find her extremely cute wearing my specs so.. :)

SEPTEMBER

The cuteness that is Avira. You can tell mommy was suffering from headband addiction during Avie's first year. I just revisited the last post from this series and true enough, Avie was never without a hair knickknack. I'm pretty sure she'll have something to say about this when she grows up. Mommy's got some explaining to do. Hehe!

OCTOBER

Nothing from October. I must be dead then. Or lazy. :P

NOVEMBER

No random photos from my end but I got a couple from my Facebook's tagged photos. Although it was quite a busy month with Faye turning five and Mitmit being born

Let's proceed?

Grocery Hits! The photo below is just one of the billion "SM photos" from mommy but I had to include it because.. maganda 'ko! Hahaha! And no, I'm not even kidding. You have no idea how gusgusin I'd let myself be if it's just a quick trip to the mall.

Now the story behind this little mixer is worth sharing. Faye and I were spending an ordinary afternoon together when we heard a "dirty ice cream" passed by. We went out of the house only to find out it has wandered far already. I don't know whose idea it was but the next thing I know, we were running after the vendor. Hahaha! Although it was just for fun 'cause with Faye's pace, there's no way we would catch up. We surrendered eventually but she asked for a toy in exchange. Para daw happy pa rin sya. Hehe! That's emotional blackmail right there at the age of 5!

DECEMBER

Yet another busy month with Avie's christening and 1st birthday, and then the holidays, of course. But to begin the month, I got myself another journal for twice the price! I don't need to elaborate how and why, right? Hehe! Cause it's either I get her one too or she'll mess up with mine. :P

Towards the holiday, a generous soul gave papi three gargantuan watermelons. We let Avie play with one and she happily beat and kicked it. Sorry, watermelon!

And we're down to the last random photo I managed to dig up. Tadahh! She did that to herself daddy, I promise! Hehehe! She's been doing this to my make up, clothes & accessories for as long as I can remember and I doubt she'll stop anytime soon. I don't mind though.

There you go! Completely, utterly, random! I'm confident I came up with a better collection from the first half of 2015 and I can't wait to dump everything here as usual! Meanwhile, let me have my dinner. :)

mid-year photo dump

Can you guess whose photos I'll be dumping ovah here so early in the morning? :) Heehee! I bet you got that right! Photos of my lovely and equally crazy nieces, of course. I've done this in the past twice {post here & here} and again, these are random -- mostly taken on normal days at home. Let's begin? :)

JANUARY

Remember Avira? The new kid on the block? Hehe! She turned one-month-old last January and Faye gladly took on the role of being a supportive ate. She got her little sister covered -- from blowing the candle, to slicing the cake, and finally eating 'em too. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Another one from the said month, ate Faye's new do! Lookie! She's so purtyyy with that A-line bob. Unfortunately for us, she had sumpong when we wanted to take photos of her. I had to challenge her to a posing posing match just to get her in the mood. And yeah, that's dealing with kids 101!

Presenting Avira's cheek almost at two months! Gigil overload! I swear she gave me a difficult time fighting the urge to pinch that cheek. Why do babies have to be so koyooot yet so fragile? And yes, I'm revealing a weakness here. Ughhh, babies! ❤

The next photos were taken on Chinese New Year. Kung Hei Fat Choiii! Hehehe! While everyone's having a tikoy party, I am melting my heart at the sight of these kiddos. Look at that second photo where ate Faye is kissing the little one. It made me so proud of my alaga because it didn't take long for her to accept that she's no longer the bunso of the family.  Although once in a while, she'd still show signs of being jelly. Totally understandable, kid! :)

❤❤❤

FEBRUARY

This one's funny. Every time I'd fake side-swept bangs, ayan syaaa! Hahaha! She'd force her short hair to transfer to the other side too. She would even remind me at times not to sport bangs -- or wear a dress, come on! -- because according to her she'd get envious. Silly little girl!

Now look at the next photo and tell me what did you notice. The headband, yes? Her mommy's obviously giddy to play dress up with her new doll. We make fun of her tuloy 'cause she has way too many of those head thingamajigs considering that uhmm.. she has yet to grow her hair! Haha!

Up next: my favorite set! We're usually this happy and kulit when we're together but I rarely bring the cam out of my room. That translates to missing out all our random moments in front of the house either biking or hammock-ing, or sometimes just dancing and singing wildly, or running free. Hehehe! Remind me to tow my cam downstairs more often, please. :)

MARCH

Not much random photos and none that met my standards. And yes, may standards pa kong nalalaman. Hahaha! Kidding aside, it was a busy month with the family -- from Yags and Papi's birthday celebrations {here and here!}, to staying at the farm for a week {here}, to welcoming another baby in the family {here}, to ate Faye's moving-up day {here} and finally down to a random day out {here}. It is strongly suggested that you reread all those posts because come onnn, I know you love me. Hehehe! Plus of course, you'll witness more baby love over those links. Convinced already? :)

APRIL

If I remember it right, I was forcing her to practice her then favorite song when these photos were taken. As I've mentioned before {here}, I taught her the lyrics of "Let It Go" which she later on sang for their Kiddie Crew graduation. I know I still owe you the video I sort of promised; I'll work on that. I.. uhm.. uh.. promise! :P

Just one of those ice cream fixes from the hot month of April. We were supposed to simply grab ice cream from Fairview Terraces then do the groceries but this young one insisted on riding Timezone's train. I rode with her and to my surprise, she started getting annoyed for some reasons. Kid logic!

Avi at 4 months! This is how she looked like after her ate and daddy left us at home to attend McDo's Kiddie Crew Workshop. I told you she's got a lot of those headbands. And she's a happy baby, if I may add. It's so easy to make her laugh and eventually clap her hands out of joy. She has definitely doubled the fun at home and we can't wait 'til she doubles the riot too.

Now here's ate Faye's humongous face and mita's birthday cake on the background. She just won't give up the limelight, even just for a moment, even just for a cake! Vain, vain, vain.

MAY

May, my sumpong month! :P We already know that my hormones are crazy, but yeah, it can get crazier at times. By good fortune, I was able to capture Avi's fifth month celebration. As usual, ate Faye was there to steal the limelight. I mean, to share the moment with Avi. Hehe! :)

JUNE

So I let ate Faye mess up with my scrapbook and my dust-collecting materials and now, I have a strong feeling that I'd regret this decision soon. She already has three display pockets on my scrapbook so that's six pages back to back. It's slowly becoming our shared belonging just like my dresses, accessories, make ups and gadgets. Uh-ohh!

I know this has turned out to be another lengthy post but still, this isn't enough to give you a clear picture of how often Faye and I are together and the extent of our craziness every single time. Having said that, I'll try to do a better job for the latter part of 2014. I'm telling you, I'll enjoy this bum perk while I can. :)

more of our little potato

Err potatoes. These are mostly from the latter part of 2013 'cause I already posted lots back in September. Then some are photos I missed to include in that blog post. I sincerely apologize for being (1) such an OC freak, (2) a stage aunt, and (3) for being in archiving mood. I just had to do all these or uhmm.. my sanity might snap. Gusto nyo ba yuuun? Hehehe. Hashtag Blackmail. ✌

FEBRUARY

The brave little girl held a lusis for the first time in celebration of the Chinese New Year. For the record: My first time to ever hold one was this New Year. She's a year ahead! Her aunt is such a scaredy cat.

This one's from her mom & dad's simple Valentine celeb. That's back when they were only three in the family. So come next Cupid's day, expect a tiny creature debuting.

MARCH

Should be a short walk and pasyal to the next village but the baby preferred to jog. Or run is more appropriate? She was so hyper that day and we all ended up getting tired. Halo-halo fix tuloy on the way home.

Woke up one morning with a capital S {that's sumpong} so we negotiated a pancake day instead. I never knew the wonder of flour, eggs and strawberry syrup. Hehehe.

nomnomnooomm

MAY

Just another day.. wearing a tutu skirt. I honestly don't get what's with little girls and tutu skirts. Guess 'cause I never dreamt of being a Disney princess, or Barbie, or a ballerina. Just hell no! Although I have to admit, I love tutu skirts when they're on my niece. Biased forever!

This was the day the local election was held. And yes, even the kid participated {and danced the day away}. I love how kids are allowed to take just everything lightly.

mother father gentleman ♪♫

Last for the month of May was auntie Ellen's despedida. I just had to include this one even if I've blogged about it already. I know you get me, she's just too adorable in these photos.

JULY

Mommy ordered a bunch of new clothes for her and when they finally arrived.. ayaan! She broke in her favorite animal print mullet dress through a ballet dance number. Who wouldn't be entertained? Tell meeee!

AUGUST

What's left from the month of August were these photos from one of our drawing nights. Just so you know, the auntie can't draw. Please save her from my stick drawings. Haha! Uhmm.. Auntie Nyont?

Whew! Those are the photos I missed to post back in September. Medyo marami din pala. Hehehe. OC man ang matsing minsan may nakakalimutan din. :P Sparing away from my monkey excuses, we've got a lot of new ones for y'all especially from the month of December 'cause she had quite a long break. That meant more auntie duties for me and more random photos on my memory card. Someday I'll get to brag how I was able to document her 2013 by being a bum. Bwahaha! Can't wait. Anywayyyy..

SEPTEMBER

Buhat-sariling-bangko moment! Here's how you'll end up admiring me for all the work I endure for this child. Look! Just look at the mess that comes with her almost every single day. Jusko daaay! Considering how much of a neat freak I am, this is definitely an adjustment. I cope up by cleaning after her late at night or early in the morning. I'll leave up the disciplining part to the ze parents. Kthxbye.

Also, she's too spoiled when it comes to pasalubong. Not from me of course 'cause I'm the poorest of poor nowadays. I'm often just there to capture the moment. She loves Play-Doh to infinity, by the way.

OCTOBER

One fine day back in October, mommy bribed her to dress up and let auntie take her photos. I've never seen her more dalaga than this. *sobs* She's growing up way too fasttt.

Truly a princess in her Halloween dress. It was just unfortunate that the party she attended was a total disaster. That's Jollibee's Halloween party conducted in Storyland SM Fairview, by the way. The war freak aunt ended up complaining then getting a call from the management. And yes, I am the war freak aunt. :P

NOVEMBER

Her birthday month! No random photos though 'cause I was busy meeting friends left and right. Yes, believe it or not.

DECEMBER

One of those few days when she wants a larger audience for her overdressing. Hehe. We walked down the street to grab some ice cream and she showcased her dress while we're at it. Kids nowadays.

My dress yet again, complete with matching shoes and shades. She's got an eye for fashion. Eheem uboo ubooo. :P

another from its set HERE

Mid-December, our family welcomed another potato in the form of Avira Faith. Faye suddenly looked all grown up especially when we finally felt that she's okay having our new baby around. I'm so proud of my alaga. :)

ate Faye welcomes baby Avira ❤

Glorious make up days. I can't stop her from messing up with my stuff so one day, I pretended to notice that her lips are getting dark and her skin's no longer smooth. It was a success! She won't dare touch my make up kit anymore. Sorry for my white lie, Papa Jesus.

Lastly, I accompanied her to her Christmas party 'cause mommy had to rest. Guardians weren't allowed inside for reasons I'll never ever understand so I pushed the limit by staying just outside the sliding door. I was the only one who fought for that right, surprisingly. I was kind enough to share the photos I took naman. Am I forgiven?

There you gooo! You can check out this link too for my family-labeled posts that may or may not include the little potatoes. Ciao!
