once again, 'cause I can

How about a blog post to welcome my birth month? Yuhz?! :) It suddenly came to me that I've been neglecting my goal of posting OOTDs here on the blog so I rummaged through my files and voilaaa! Hehe! But honestly, I'm just trying to make it sound easy but nahh, far from it actually. I didn't even take outfit shots anymore after I've posted this and that's mid last year pa! But fortunately, I managed to find some decent photos and with a little cropping here and there, they're good to go. Me thinks at least.

So let's do this just like the way we did it last time. You still with me? First photo was taken way back May 2013. Oops! We went boxing twice that month and this was a part of our post-session vanity. On another news, I'm missing the sport already. Care to go boxing with me? :)

Fast forward July, I met up with my college girls at Eastwood for our long overdue catching up. Donned an all Forever 21 girly girly outfit which happened to be perfect for a photo op with Sam Milby. I kid you not, it was my first photo with a celebrity. Blame Lia!

Then this one was from September. Visited lolo at Sanctuario de Paz in celebration of grandparent's day. Dana and I enjoyed the lush greenery, no doubt! And in case you haven't noticed, I have a thing for cemeteries. Such a creep, eh?

Novembeerrrrr! My favorite month from last year, along with May of course! Tin invited me for dinner and I finally decided to take my leopard print blazer out for a spin. I haven't used it since then. The verdict? Way too many clothes for a professional bum, ergo, must.go.back.to.work. Noooo!

Another favorite outfit from the aforementioned month. The skirt was new at the time, that's why. Hee! Wore it to Tiny's birthday celebration at Bulacan. You have to let me go though with the kabag bump {read: malaking tiyan} because I was suffering from hyperacidity then. Forgiven? :)

Next up: Holiday Outfits! We always make it a point to dress up for both Christmas and New Year because we're a family of camera whores, err, except the boys maybe? The girls, on the other hand, kind of abused mommy's Christmas tree as a backdrop. A girl's got to do what a girl's go to do, and yahh know it!

Then, we finally made it to RiverCreek farm. Yayy! We felt like hacienderas posing just about anywhere, the tractor being our favorite. I brought my Boracay hat also to add to the whole farm feel but the evil sisters snatched it from me. I wore my cap instead and it was a blessing in disguise; I almost forgot I used to love baseball caps back in the good ol' college days. Nuff said.

The next month, I met up with more college buddies at Pearl Drive. I was tiis ganda as usual, pushing for my royal blue blazer to be put in use. Yieppp, no matter how muggy our weather is! :P Also, the month of February re-launched my addiction to huge fancy rings and then later on to knuckle rings. They're still my current obsession and again, it's my birth month. You get the point? ;)

Then there's this all blush outfit that jump-started the awesome month of March. I accompanied Jhov in her regular shopping -- I'm officially a shopping assistant now -- but of course, that's after our little celebration at home for Papi and Yags. I wore shoes, in case you missed it. We all have to ditch the slippers sometimes, you know? :P

Another celebration for papi 'cause we love him that much! ❤ And despite the fact that I'm not into dresses lately, I just had to wear this one {points to the photo} because somewhere along the way, RUST has become my favorite color. I even announced it over Twitter para DIBSSS! Hehehe!

And then we're back to Rivercreek! We stayed there for almost a week to look after our nephew as his mom gave birth to our newest darling, Xana. I brought my favorite LBD 'cause I knew it's impossible not to squeeze in a little pictorial. Not to brag or whatever, but you see, I was right. :) I even had a hard time stopping myself from posting yet another photo from this set on Instagram. Flooderrr!

Still from March -- I told you it was an awesome month -- was this red and white ensemble I wore for another family day. Not that this was my first foray into the world of red&white but this particular one catapulted that obsession. Check out the next photo to get what I mean. Gawdd, I get obsessed so easily.

Case in point B. I told you the red&white ensemble has got into my head. It definitely sounds trouble to me 'cause I have more pieces of those colors in my closet. Uh-ohh! Anyway, this particular photo was taken when we visited lolo again at Sanctuario de Paz. And can I just say that I have so much love for this photo? Props to the sister for snapping away while I was ceaselessly laughing. ❤

And now, we've reached the point where I'm obliged to apologize for this lengthy post. Hehe! You have to understand that these photos must land this blog's OOTD label by hook or by crook. OC freaks unite!!!

say it with me, oh-oh-tee-deeee

Heeey! Have you noticed? I'm obsessing with my OOTD posts. Obsessing yet again, goodness gracious!

I made it a goal to post more OOTDs this year but unlike before that I simply add the tag "ootd" in posts with decent outfits, this time I'll make dedicated posts for them. You like that better, don't you? Less messy that way. God, I hate mess!

Before we continue, I'd like to warn you that through out the first half of the year, I used and abused the gold strappies I got from SM Department Store for just a little over three hundred. Did I hear you say, great find?

Moving on, first photo was taken during New Year's eve. We had customized shirts with the Incredibles logo but changed to Incrediborbs, hence the capital B. We are cool people like that! Hahaha!

Next two photos are from our Nuvali trip. I especially love the first ensemble because I've been wanting a matchy matchy blazer and floral shorts since the start of the year. I'm happy I got it a little early.

And then here's what we call as Sunday dresses. We wore this to the mall surprisingly. We're usually too lazy to dress up when we're our destination is just 9 peso away. I guess change is good once in a while. Watyathink?

Then the outfit I wore to my father's 63rd birthday. The floral cardigan is one of my favorite closet staple but to my horror my sister burned it while ironing. Uggh! And please don't think I bully her into ironing my clothes. NO! She borrows stuff from me, that's why! Hey, baby sister! You've got to be able to shop for me in the future.

The lazy outfits I told you a while ago? Here they are. I'm a shirt&short kinda girl when it comes to malling. With malling, I mean I'm usually alone {or with my sister} doing errands. But when I go out with my family or friends, I see to it that I dress up a little. For photos sake, perhaps?

Next, my outfit when Tin and I finally caught up. We're close friends, I'd like to think. But due to the fact that we have totally different interests {fashion and travel versus volleyball and other sports}, we rarely get the chance of being together. Anyway..

The dressiest among all these is surely the next photo. Wore it to an interview I was half-hearted about. Later on, I realized I want to enjoy this bum life longer. Although at this point, I'm seriously thinking of going back to work. Boo!

Speaking of dressy, can I just say I looovvee dresses? Sorry sa ipinilit na connect, but really, I love dresses to bits. Having said that, here's another take on the girly girly look. Sported this during my niece's birthday celebration. As always, I almost didn't change to my swimming attire because I'm making the most out of my outfit. Hahaha!

Let's go to another mall outfit. I  ditched the shirt in favor of a spaghetti strap - cardigan combo because it's a family day. Or better said, extended family day. My sister and I went with my cousin's family and his wife's cousin for the latter's send off.

Last set of photos are from my Ilocos trip, which by the way I haven't blogged about because I haven't gotten the photos from my friends. Malapit ko nang makalimutan ang mga ganap sa totoo lang. :P

First one are selfies I snuck from the MalacaƱang of the North. That's my outfit for the first day of the trip spent in Ilocos Sur.

Second day's outfit. I wore a simple ensemble because we had to trek somewhere in Ilocos Norte before this Pagudpud stop. Look at how tan, okay dark, I've become. Eeep!!

Still second day's outfit.  I changed to this baroque dress after dipping in Pagudpud waters. It's a little big for me at that time but I already had it altered. Haay, the downside of being petite.

Lastly, my outfit back to Vigan. It's a vintage dress perfect for Vigan's vintage feel. You agree?

Wheeew! That was pretty long. I seriously hope I didn't bore you to death. I'm sorry if I did. I just had to do this to cross off Goal # 24 Take more OOTD shots. I'm one happy but hungry girl now. Let's have lunch? :)

sorta kinda swimsuit review and new pegs

While blogging for my next travel throwback, I got distracted with I Love Koi's post on Facebook of their new swimsuit. Alam nyo naman ang lola nyo, nataranta na naman! The next thing I know, I am stalking Anemone's and I Love Koi's Facebook accounts. But before I share to you my bets, let me tell you first why I dropped Nudo and Soak from my go-to bikini boutiques. Remember I used to love them too back in November?

Soak. The reason is as simple as they do not have my size. Small is their smallest size and even if their swimsuits come  in stylish designs, I will never sacrifice good fit and comfort over style. I haven't tried buying from Soak though so I won't be able to tell you whether the quality of their products are good or not.

Nudo. Well, they do not have my size too but aside from that, I am also not impressed with their quality. I tried buying one from them for my Boracay trip last December. It's a pleated high waist for P1250. It's a lot cheaper than Anemone or Koi but that doesn't mean it can go away with it's low quality. We can actually buy swimsuits for less than a thousand from department stores - Sassa, Angel Fish etc. or from Folded Hung but they have good quality. Going back to the Nudo swimsuit I got, its fabric is coarse and the worst, you can hear the stitches breaking while you wear it. Kaloka!!

but still, thank you Nudo.  :)

Anemone. Quality comes with a price most of the time. I got two pairs last November and while it hurt my pocket big time, I am so happy with my purchases. I got my dream pair - Mystras Ruffled Bandeau Top for P1495 and Mystras Thick Tie Sides for 1395. I also got another pair - Neon Coral Ruffled Bandeau for P895 and Neon Coral Ruffled Hipster for P795. I altered the latter to my liking, removing the ruffles on the sides. Hihihi. One thing I noticed as I alter my bottom is that even the thread used in stitching is garterized. Obviously the reason why the stitches do not break as you wear 'em.

my dream pair back then ♥

the bottom came with ruffles on the side
I hated it, I removed it! :P

Now here comes my new dream pair from Anemone. I wasn't able to get it the last time so I just have to include it again on my wish list. Di masamang mangarap! {Kahit walang trabaho :P} Riviera Bandeau Top for P1395 and Riviera Ring Hipster for P1295.

I Love Koi It's a blessing in disguise that I discovered this after our Boracay trip; right after actually. I could have gone so confused and crazy if I happened to know about this prior to the trip. I guess it's safe to say that they have the most stylish designs. I have yet to buy from them to find out about the quality. Meanwhile, here are my picks - available ones only.

so stylish at P2280

me don't likey!

My pegs for the upcoming wedding I have to attend. You won't believe me when I say I hate dressing up for formal occasions but I really do. I'm your resident casual chic if you still haven't noticed. Several more days and I'll be forced to look as decent as the girls in the photos below. Me don't likey! :S

swimsuit hunting in this time of the year, really

All the while I thought my next blog post would be our Calaguas Trip. Meeh, I was wrong. Rather, I'll be sharing photos of swimsuits I've been gushing about the whole day. You won't believe how addicted I am.  There are three brands I'm currently stalking - Anemone from Nothing But Water, Soak and Nudo.

Let's begin with Anemone. This is my favorite brand so far. They have the prettiest prints and styles. Only that it's the most expensive among the three. Good quality definitely comes with a price.

My dream swimsuit.  It costs around P2800 for the pair. Expensive, I know. I almost bought it the first time we went to Nothing But Water, Galleria. Good thing I was able to control myself because at it's price, it's something I really should think about.

Monica's bet. Posting it as well because I somehow kinda like it too. P2600 for a pair. Who thinks we should get them? Help us decide. :)

Moving on, next to Anemone is Soak . Cool styles for a lower price. I haven't seen their store but we are scheduled to do so as soon as our payroll accounts get replenished. I can't wait, seriously.

Sailor Bandeau for P1800. Unfortunately, 'Small' is their smallest size. I can only hope and pray it fits me well. I'll find out few days from now. Can you guys cross your fingers for me?

Costa del Sol Ribbon High Waist for P1650. Just because I want to give high waist swimsuits a try. I love its colors too but my evil sister said it reminds her so much of Hulk. Whatever!

Tory Ruffled Bandeau for P1750. Perfect for flat chested girls like me. Ruffled tops tend to make your chest seem busy that they will no longer notice your lack of.. uhmm.. gift up there. Haha!

Lastly, Nudo. I've been checking out their Facebook account but none has caught my fancy yet. We also planned to visit their boutique come payday. Swimsuit hunting in November. A little difficult but nevertheless fun.

BORACAY, here we come!! :))

Anemone

Soak
