catching up series: ASDS in 2015

ASDS what? That was your question, right? ASDS stands for Apple, Sheena, Dwin and Silina. All of a sudden we have a name for ourselves so I'd adopt that here on the blog. And being the OC human being that I am, I will take time to add that label to my previous posts. Once an OC, always an OC.

So ASDS in 2015. I was able to do a separate post for our first meet up of the year 'cause at that time, I still haven't planned on doing a consolidated post for each group of friends. But now, fortunately, I thought of a way to make my life easy so congratulations to me. Hahaha! Anyway, it was one holiday back in February, we had dinner at Yabu then coffee at Cafe Benne, Eastwood. Or you can check out the link above to read a little more about it. Hehe! After that, Sheena and I had a little fall out. I'm not exactly sure why she got mad but if I recall it right, she got pissed when she was inviting us out and I turned her down for some reasons. Medyo clingy kasi sya. Hahaha! So it was just Silina that I often see. Visited her thrice already but it was only during the third time that we got a decent photo. We ate at Bigoli but we had to leave early because of her work. The highlight of the day was when she pretended to be me and sent Sheena a message. Haha! Nagkabati kami ng wala sa oras. That was in September already, several months of friendship hiatus.

Fast forward to December, we met again. Dwin wasn't able to make it because of the holiday traffic. Or he really didn't wanna see us? Whatever! Haha! It was a night of laughter over pasta and pizza at Linguini Fini and coffee at Starbucks. Joel made it for coffee too. He's Silina's better half. And yes, sya na ang may lovelife. Hahaha! We exchanged simple presents too. I gave them succulents, haworthia attenuata to be exact, and reminded them not to kill the poor plant. Haha! By the way, I have yet to write about my succulent addiction. I'll do so as soon as this catching up thing is over. So many other things to write about actually -- health update, plans of going back to work, bohemian fascination, fashion inspos, new favorite songs and movies, and there, the succulent obsession. Seriously, must finish this catching up thing FASTTTT.

And then we also met last month. I contemplated adding that here pero hindi kaya ng pagka-OC ko 'cause technically, that's 2016 already -- and my post subject says ASDS in 2015. Hahaha! That calls for a separate post says my obsessive compulsive self. Ciao!

catching up series: foursome in 2015

.. andddd I'm back! Haha! Just thought I'd dump photos from the previous year because I'm being OC. My last post was my niece's birthday celebration from March {hehehe! yep, MARCH of last year. :P} so we'd pick up from there. Kaya ko 'to! Will play catch up for the whole month of February then this blog will be back to normal. Well, I hope so. Haha! Let's begin with foursome's get-togethers.

The first set of photos were taken during Job's despedida towards the end of March. It's funny how he has left, visited back, and left again and yet the photos landed on my blog just now. E bakit ba? Better late than never, right? Hehe! So anyway, we had dinner at Dampa {in Libis, if I remember it right} then coffee at Cafe Benne. I honestly can't remember how the night went on. That's the thing, I forget easily so it's a must for me to blog - especially travels. Everytime someone asks me about something, I'd say, "it's in the blog". Hehehe!

Then this one's from my next Eastwood visit sometime in April. I met up with Silina first then visited these two also. No more Job by this time 'cause he has gone to the states. It was a random quick dinner and chitchat at Sisig Society.

And then October, Job visited. We had dinner at Yabu, Megamall. I kept on making fun of how far I traveled just to be with them that night. Jsyk, I live in North Caloocan, near SJDM Bulacan, and it's always a huge effort everytime I'd meet friends in the metro. Promding promdi lang. Haha!

cream dory, ftw!

Then last, Monique's niece's christening and birthday celebration. Tiny and Job covered the event {they're photographers, yep!} so I tagged along. It was a few days before Job left for the states again. Haven't seen Tiny and Monique since then. We were supposed to meet during the Christmas season but yeah, life happened.

Up next, photo dump with ASDS -- that's Apple, Sheena, Dwin and Silina. Yep, we have a name now. High school feels. :P

catching up series: holidate

Happy 2015!!! Hahaha! It's officially two-zero-one-five in this blog and I couldn't be any happier. I'm finally doing good in resurrecting my tiny share of the cyberspace and who knows, the ressurection of my life might just come next. Ha! Forever hopeful, you little one.

So I have here photos with the trio whom I sorely miss -- Silina, Sheena and Dwin. Last saw them on a holiday from the beginning of the year. Yep, ganun na katagal! We had dinner at Yabu then we spent the rest of the night at Cafe Benne, Eastwood. The spotlight was on Silina but I can't divulge how or why. Mahirap na baka mashompal ako. Hehe! Shotout also to Dwin for the impromptu joyride before calling it a day. Ang yaman sa gas! Hahaha!

Sheena's Yabu treat

Silina's Caffe Bene treat

bad case of puffy eyes :3

Out of the three, it's Silina whom I get to see {and talk to} more frequently. I flew to Eastwood solely for her twice already. Ganun ko sya kamiss. HAHA! JOKE! May kailangan kasi ako sa kanya. Pero syempre, miss ko din sya talaga. Hahaha! Hi, teh! :* Anyway, we've been negotiating my next visit but it wouldn't push through because I'm one hell of a lazy friend. Although if she would let me dip my toes in their condo pool, I'd gladly visit her again -- and in a heartbeat. It really isn't so difficult to bribe me, yeah? Hehe!

after all these years

If there's one person I'm thankful for during my college years, that would be Tin. I cannot imagine going through hell for five years without her. I mean, I'm a self-proclaimed brainy so academically, I should say things were under control. But still, it's different when you have a constant companion - seatmate, groupmate, partner in crime, shopping buddy, breakfast/lunch/dinner date, shoulder to cry sleep on, kachismisan, katawanan hanggang sumakit ang tiyan. With her around, sorrow divides and JOY DOUBLES - literally though 'cause I'm Apple Joy and she's Kristine Joy. Hehehe. #sorrynotsorry

Five years after college, she's still a reason for gratitude. We've gone different paths, yes, but the genuine friendship remains. We no longer see each other everyday nor do we communicate often, but once we're together, we pick up where we left off - back to the crazy duo we once were.

and we call each other 'shoms' :P

Few days ago, she invited me for dinner. She wanted me to go to Makati but unfortunately, my limited street knowledge can only take me as far Boni. We had to settle with Megamall. You're welcome, Henry Sy. :P And because it was her treat, we had to satisfy her cravings - pizza and pasta! Sinubukan ko pang kumontra pero wala talaga. Better luck next time, dear self.

Guess what came next after dinner? You have your guesses? Yes?? Oh, Good! Now, if you whispered to yourself CAMWHORING then you're absolutely right. Ang galing mo! Apir! But truth be told, I'm not really a big cam whore {wehh?}. I just find it fun when you have someone to look silly with. Damay damay naaa!

fave ❤

We had to leave early 'cause Tin has work the next day. No amount of bribe stopped her. Mabuhay ka Tin, isa kang dakilang empleyado! Hahaha! ✌ On a more serious note, the night may be bitin but it's still darn worthy of travelling all the way from our rural village. It made me realize more how blessed I am with friends, not just because of their endless treats but more of the fact that they actually want to be with me. Akalain nyo yun!

tadaaahhh!!

I'm finally sporting a shorter do after what felt like forever. Plus it's straight again. Thanks to Monique for tagging me along. I was with her last year too so I guess it's official, I found my vanity buddy. Yayyy!!

I already posted the details of the salon here and here; feel free to check 'em out. You can either go for Lito or Lance. Trust me! They are both nice and fun. Just bring out your own kakulitan and it won't be a boring salon sesh for sure.

On to my hairstyle, it's the shortest possible with my hair condition - dyed, dry, brittle. Hehe. Although it was close to one of my options, just a little longer. I was considering pixie cut too but Lance was honest enough to tell me that it'll only look good at first but it'll be really, really bad as soon as my hair starts to grow. I completely ditched the idea when he told me I might look like a mushroom when that happens. Hahaha! Picture short and poofy hair. Oo nga naman.

I hate how my hair is half black and half brown but I still have to wait for two months before I can dye it again. Oh well papel. Lance suggested medium golden blonde for my next hair color but I have yet to think about it. Me? Blonde? Whuutt?!!

After hours and hours of rebonding torture at the salon, Monique and I chilled at Jamba Juice - her treat! What did I do to deserve all these treats? Enlighten me! Anyway, she got banana berry while I got strawberries wild. We tried both and I liked mine better. She liked hers better too. Good choices, mademoiselles.

get your brain freeze on!

I am guessing this would knock down my Starbucks addiction. Especially now that another doctor told me I shouldn't be taking in caffeine in any form, emphasis on soda and coffee. #SMH

THE tin pe benito ✌

Yeeess, I am friends with the popular Tin Pe Benito. With over 4 thousand followers on twitter, 20 thousand plus views on tumblr and Google suggesting "tin pe benito photography", who would argue with me? She has indeed gone a long way with her VLeague career. I am so proud of you, my sister from another mister ♥.

Moving on from my grand introduction, we met last month for what seemed to be an endless dinner. You can't blame us! We can't even recall when was the last time we've met. I am guessing December of 2011 when we went to Tagaytay. I can only be wrong if we had undocumented meet-ups last year - meaning no photos, no blog entries. I doubt though. You know me. :P

We had dinner at Holy Cow - her treat! She had a career milestone last November and she's supposed to treat me back then. Obviously, life happened and we only got to meet last month.

on nom nom

It was a long night of catching up, laughter and cam whoring. And with cam whoring, I mean a very serious one. Thank goodness we were seated at the backmost couch and we didn't have to mind the world. But honestly, we rarely do when we're together. Just plain awesome craziness!

selfie :P

and here we gooo

Past 9 pm, we were forced to leave Holy Cow. Still not satisfied, we transferred to Starbucks - my treat! There's just no stopping the kwentuhan. Or should I say the picturan? Funny how it's so hot in Starbucks but it was still jam-packed. One barista explained that they were having a problem with the ventilation system. Obviously, kuya! Fortunately for us, we were seated near the entrance and I had my trusty pamaypay.

more annoying wacky faces

If I remember it right, we left past 1 am. The lola in me prevailed and I was so sleepy already. No regrets. Because this time, I won't let the year end without seeing this girl again. After all, we both agreed I owe her one.

And oh, here's an OOTD! I made it a goal to post more OOTDs and so far I've been doing good. Way to go, little miss lazy!
