dream and do update

Look who's now ready to endure humiliation! Haha! Obviously, I wasn't able to complete my 25 before 25 bucket list. Epic fail, I know. But though I wasn't able to complete them before  turning 25, I promise to complete them at least while I'm 25!

And just to check how far I've gone, I'm doing an update. Lesdothis, kamoowwn! :D

1. START A BLOG

        ✿  island hoping in cyberspace

2. LEARN HOW TO RIDE A BIKE
Tried once but I failed. To think, I badly wanted to learn it. Frustration at its finest.

        ✿  something darn frustrating

3. GO MOUNTAIN CLIMBING
Been to Mt. Batulao twice and to Mt. Pundaquit. I still won't consider myself a mountaineer though. Nangingibabaw ang kaartehan. Pasensya naman. :P

✿ day 1: mt. pundaquit trek - the hard way to get to anawangin
once is enough but twice isn't too much
        I think it's LOVE {for Mother Nature}

with V-3 peeps
missing their company already

parang tunay :P

4. GIVE COOKING A SHOT
Cooked carbonara for my papi on father's day. First attempt failed as it tasted like condensed milk rather than carbonara sauce. Second try succeeded. I should cook more often to really get use to it, I guess.

✿ for his special day, carbonara

5. ENROLL IN SWIMMING CLASSES
Yet another failed attempt! Me and my sister enrolled in a swimming class but we stopped after two sessions since we got so lucky with our instructor. For both of our sessions, she almost didn't go down the water and she kept complaining about how cold the water was. Anobee. There was also an instance that she didn't show up and didn't even inform us ahead of time. Better luck next time, girls.

6. BUY DEAR SELF A LAPTOP
I got myself a pink Samsung R440-JT08PH! Love love loveeeet! <3

          ✿ they come in pink

7. HAVE EMERGENCY FUNDS
Ok, I'm guilty. I still don't have emergency funds. I have savings, so little that it cannot be called an emergency fund. :s

8. EXPERIMENT WITH MY HAIR COLOR
Can you give me until the end of August to tick this off? And can you wish me enough determination to visit the salon? I am sooo lazzeehh.

9. EAT ANYTHING STRANGE/EXOTIC
I ate "nilasang na palaka" and "adobong baboy ramo" in Balaw Balaw. Aren't they strange?

          ✿ out-of-ordinary balaw balaw experience

man vs. frog

10. BE CERTIFIED
I got IBM Certified Solution Designer - Rational Functional Tester for Java. Like anyone cares.

11. GET IMPORTANT IDs AND ACCOUNTS
SSS ID, Alumni ID, SM Advantage Card, Metrobank Direct, yadah yadah.

✿ they kind of remind me I am a grown-up already

12. GO SPELUNKING IN SAGADA
This is one hell of an experience I am very willing to do all over again. I had fun squeezing into tiny holes, easing through the rocks and rappelling. Feeling ko ang galing ko. I went out of the cave dry and feeling clean as I had no slips or whatever casualty. Yabang lang. >:P

✿ sagada day 2: certified spelunker, at least for a day

bonus trip to Bomod-Ok falls

13. READ A BOOK
I got Nina Garcia's The Style Strategy, a less-is-more approach to staying chic and shopping smart. I'm actually applying what I learned from it. Teehee.

✿ what I almost never finished
          ✿ what apple wants

14. RUN A MARATHON
Joined Run for Pasig River and Bull Run. We also have a failed attempt in joining the Hyundai Run. Given the chance, I'll make this a regular activity.

✿ it could have been fun
✿ once is enough but twice isn't too much
          ✿ I think it's LOVE {for Mother Nature}

after the Pasig River Run

15. DO SOMETHING FOR MOTHER NATURE
Joined a tree planting activity sponsored by Accenture and held in Marikina Watershed. I actually felt like I risked my life for this one 'cos we planted wildlings in steep slopes with no one to assist us. Hope my wildlings will grow as useful trees someday.

          ✿ I think it's LOVE {for Mother Nature}

no sweat? not really!

16. VISIT TREE TOP ADVENTURE IN SUBIC
Went there with my shomimay last Christmas vacation. It was worth the travel all the way to Subic. I suggest you also get the complete package when you visit, aryt?

✿ how to survive your tree top adventure

get high with nature

17. IMPROVE MY ENGLISH SKILLS
This is hardly measurable so can you just let me tick this off? Haha! Before this blog, I can hardly come up with an article written in English. I have always believed I am no writer. To my surprise {and I guess to everyone's as well}, i can write pala - maski pano. phhbt!

18. RECONNECT WITH OLD FRIENDS

I am now reconnected with the best friend I didn't see for more than a year. I was with her during my Balaw Balaw adventure and just last week for my birthday. Yay to renewed friendship! ♥

          ✿ out-of-ordinary balaw balaw experience

best friends are made for birthday treats :)

 19. READ THE BIBLE
I have downloaded an e-bible. I have to admit I don't get to read it as often but I certainly seek words from it when I need help the most.

Sharing this..
Matthew 6:34
So, never be anxious about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties. Sufficient for each day is its own badness.

20. JOIN VOLUNTEER WORKS
So near yet so far. I had my chance, I missed it. Better next time na naman?

21. BE STREET SMART

This is hardly measurable as well but I won't consider this a ticked off item just yet. I'll only do so once I can get to Makati alone without taking the cab. Yes, I am that stupid with directions and places.

22. SING IN THE VIDEOKE
Remember our crazy waka waka song and dance number? Haha! I'm uploading it again. Checkout our cuh-rey-ziness. No one will believe I'm a first timer. ;)

✿ crazy is as crazy as it can get

23. WATCH GOOD MOVIES
I honestly just watched popular movies just to tick this item off. Now I am addicted to watching movies. Bought new DVDs and currently downloading Love Happens.  Can't get enough of Jennifer Aniston.

          ✿ why just now..

24. PULL OFF A TWO PIECE SWIMSUIT
Just this summer, I bought several pairs of swimsuit. I especially love F&H's collection. Now I suddenly miss summer. Those were the months I have so much life. Stop me from ranting about work again, puhleeasse.

          ✿ summer's last hoorah, galera
          ✿ come rain or shine
✿ day 3: capones island - short side trip before we hurry home
✿ day 2: anawangin - lazeh beach bumming day

beach buuummm

✔ 25. DECIDE FOR THE FUTURE
As much as I wouldn't like to admit, this is work related. I have decided. I just hope things would turn out as expected. Wish me luck.. and.. good future?! :P

There you goooo, 19/25. Tell me it's not bad! Tell meeee.. please?? Hahaha! And watch out for my next bucket list, 26 before 26. 'Cos I am enjoying this bucket list thing. You might wanna tryeeet!! ♥♥♥
